The magical cottage had a garden and fairy surprise, perfect for exploring Downpatrick and Newcastle. The breakfast goodies were tasty and made my boys happy. The hosts were friendly and helpful, making our stay lovely!
Oh, nothing to complain about! A sofa bed in the living area was just amazing for me and another adult to share.

The cottage is located in a beautiful and peaceful area, surrounded by gorgeous scenery. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, providing a basket of breakfast goodies upon arrival. The cottage itself is clean, cozy, and well-equipped, with comfortable beds and a lovely garden. The hosts even leave ride-on toys and have a fairy garden for children to enjoy. The attention to detail and thoughtful touches, like providing gluten-free food for a coeliac guest, make the stay even more enjoyable.
The sofa bed in the living area may be a bit small for two adults to share comfortably.

The cottage was absolutely beautiful and had a cozy and homely feel to it. the hosts were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. We loved the little touches like the ride-on toys for the kids and the fairy garden, which kept them entertained throughout our stay. the beds were comfortable and the cottage was clean. the breakfast basket provided was a nice surprise and saved us from having to bring our own supplies. Despite the rainy weather, we still had plenty of indoor activities nearby to keep us occupied.
Honestly, we couldn't find anything to complain about. Our only complaint would be that we had to leave.

Simply amazing! From the moment we arrived, Francis and Dorothy made us feel at home. The cottage was super clean and had everything we needed, including a cozy bed that felt like sleeping on a cloud. The breakfast basket was a delightful surprise and saved us from having to bring any food with us. The garden and fairy gardens were jaw-droppingly enchanting, especially for our children who couldn't wait to explore every morning. Jack the dog was a beautiful and friendly companion, and the view of the cows in the field outside was a peaceful sight to wake up to. Francis and Dorothy went above and beyond to ensure the safety and happiness of our family, even closing their gate to keep the kids safe. We were sad to leave but thankfully we've already booked our return trip for next year. Trust me, you won't be disappointed if you choose this incredible place for your vacation. Thank you so much, Francis and Dorothy, for an unforgettable experience!

The apartment at Cargagh Cottage was a perfect retreat for someone like me who wants to be in direct touch with nature. From the terrace, I could admire the stunning mountain views while sipping my morning coffee. The cozy living room provided a comfortable space to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. The bedroom was just what I needed, offering a peaceful sanctuary to rest and recharge. The flat-screen TV was a nice addition for some evening entertainment, though I preferred to spend my time outside in the fresh air. The equipped kitchen was a great convenience, allowing me to prepare simple meals with ease.
Personally, I found the shower in the bathroom to be a little small. However, I understand that others might not mind this and it didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of the stay.
